The design of Restrained Hidden revolves around the use of hexagonal bricks, special paints, greyscale paints, matte marble stones, and other unique elements. These materials, along with the strategic use of natural daylight and indirect lighting, create a transparent, bright, and rich living space. The overall result is a design that is both visually appealing and functional.
What sets Restrained Hidden apart from other designs is the designer's ability to transform qualities into specific spatial designs. The base of the plan is built upon three low-limit colors - grey, black, and white. These colors serve as the foundation for the design, while elements such as light-blue cabinets, marble stones, mirrors, and glasses add a touch of luxury. The layer changing of lights and shadows further enhances the depth of the overall scene.
The realization of the design is made possible through the use of various technologies and materials. Modeled mirrors, special paints, baking paints, marble stones, system panels, hexagonal bricks, wooden floorings, and big planks all contribute to the creation of this exquisite design.
With an indoor area of 46 ping, Restrained Hidden encompasses the entryway, living room, reading area, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom, secondary bedroom and bathroom, and study. The flow of the space is carefully designed to promote a flexible and adaptable living style. The open-end method used in the public area allows for seamless transitions between different sectors, encouraging creativity and interaction.
The project, completed in February 2021 in Taiwan, required extensive research and creative problem-solving. The designer faced challenges such as eliminating massive beams in the public area and balancing the visual sense of the ceiling and flooring. Through meticulous planning and precise measurements, these challenges were overcome, resulting in a design that is both visually stunning and structurally sound.
Restrained Hidden has received recognition for its excellence in design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing innovation, practicality, and integration of industry best practices.
